Still Life With Pig

Green frog,
Is your body also
freshly painted?
Ryunosuke Akutagawa (1892-1927)

In the tradition of animal still lifes, this photo essay explores the sphere between beauty and death. The intention is to create a modern, photographic interpretation of animal still lifes. All photos were taken in places, where animals are slaughtered for consumption, where meat is produced and traded.
